A KINDER, GENTLER
FEDERALIST SOCIETY? BY BILL APREA, CO-EDITOR

WHAT'S UP WITH THIS LOONY LAW SCHOOL? BY GARY KATZ, CO-EDITOR

As I take the reigns of THE RUTGERS FEDERALIST along with my co-editor Gary Katz, I would like to thank Nick Apruzzi for his excellent and dedicated work to make this publication what it is today.  I am excited at the prospect of continuing his work in making the THE RUTGERS FEDERALIST  the true free speech vehicle at Rutgers Law School Newark.
For starters, I would like to explore some of my goals for this publication.  My vision for T
HE RUTGERS FEDERALIST is as a forum where opinions are brought forth and discussed with a little humor here and there.  I invite all to contribute your thoughts to me individually or for publication.
Will we be any less controversial?  I sure hope not.  But I do want all of you to consider the writing for the T
HE RUTGERS FEDERALIST regardless of your point-of-view.

I am excited about becoming the co-editor for THE RUTGERS FEDERALIST.  My co-editor, Bill Aprea, and myself plan to continue the liberterian and conservative dialogue The Rutgers Federalist  has always advocated.  My hope is that THE RUTGERS FEDERALIST will become a newsletter that all students not just conservative use to promote their views.
I would like to remind everyone that T
HE RUTGERS FEDERALIST is open to all students regardless of their viewpoints.  We will continue our tradition of printing all articles that we receive.  We will also print anonymous articles.  Anonymous article allow students to share ideas that many students would otherwise be afraid to print.  Unfortunately, we attend a left-wing law school where some members of our community do not respect views different from their own.  That is why we need THE RUTGERS FEDERALIST .  In the meantime keep writing and good luck on finals.

What you have in your hands is a newsletter whose  goal is to stimulate thought and discussion about the  application of conservatice and libertarian principles of law,  public policy, and life in general.  Our aim is to be informative, entertaining, and thought-provoking.  The views herein are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Federalist Society, its Rutgers-Newark Chapter, nor its officers, editors, or members.
