Enforcing Your Legal Rights Under the Rutgers Student Health Insurance
Policy AND Enforcing Your Legal
Rights As A Tenant Under New Jersey Landlord/Tenant Law – This seminar is being presented to assist
students who have current disputes or may have future disputes over claims
with Mega Life Health Insurance or their landlords. Student will be
provided with copies of actual court documents filed in a lawsuit as well
as discovery materials that relate to both topics. It will take place from
12:45 to 2:15 in Room 10.

The 2nd
Annual Federalist Society and RCLU Spring Debate!!! – Mr. Roger Pilon, Director, Center
of Constitutional Studies at the CATO Institute in Washington, DC will
speak on the topic of "Constitutionality of Affirmative Action in
Admission Policies”, focusing on the Michigan cases before the Supreme
Court. His Institute has filed an amicus brief to the Court. The counterpoint speaker will be Ms.
Melissa Woods, who is an attorney for the NAACP Legal Defense and
Educational Fund, Inc. which is supporting the defendant-intervenors in Gratz
v. Bollinger (the University of Michigan’s undergrad case). The debate
is scheduled to begin at 12:45pm in Room 70. |

The 2nd
Annual Federal Courts Presentation – The Honorable Samuel Alito along with Law Clerks from the
3rd. Circuit Court of Appeals will be discussing the various systems of the
Federal Courts, including the types of cases heard and the roles and
responsibilities of the judges, clerks and interns. In addition, they will
provide information on how to apply for a position in the federal courts.
It will occur from 5-6pm in the Trial Courtroom. |
